It is quite clear that WWE is facing huge competition from All Elite Wrestling (AEW) at the moment. AEW Dynamite has made its debut and there has been a noticeable fall in WWE viewership since then. In the second day of the recently happened WWE Draft, the viewership of RAW came down to 2.8 million viewers only.  A lot of WWE Superstars like Jon Moxley a.k.a Dean Ambrose, Jack Hager and Chris Jericho have shifted to AEW and WWE CEO Vince McMahon is surely not happy about it.  In the recent episode at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, WWE security allegedly blocked fans from showcasing AEW merchandise and the rivalry between these two sports entertainment companies is going to a different extent.

WWE: Fans are blocked from using AEW merchandise

As per media reports in the USA, WWE Superstars were constantly eliminating fans who were showcasing AEW merchandise in the arena. The security allegedly threatened to throw out fans from the arena who were sporting an AEW t-shirt or anything related to the AEW. A WWE fan reader Rob Johnson said that he had an AEW merchandised t-shirt but had to cover it up with a sweater for watching the latest edition of Monday Night RAW from Cleveland.

However, this is not the first time something like this has happened. In January 2019, the AEW Double Or Nothing Launch Rally and WWE SmackDown took place in the same city of Florida and a lot of wrestling fans attended both the events. In the same manner, as the recent one, wrestling fans were told to cover up their AEW t-shirt to enter the WWE Arena. WWE Universe faced a heavy backlash from the fans and it has started again after the WWE security’s stance in the latest RAW episode. WWE Universe is facing tough competition from AEW and it is clearly reflected in Vince McMahon’s business policies.

WWE and AEW are surely giving neck to neck competition to each other. AEW has managed to sign Dean Ambrose and Jon Moxley’s statement about WWE’s stupid scripts have surely affected the image of WWE among the global audience. After getting superstars like Moxley and Chris Jericho, AEW seems to have a bright future ahead and Vince McMahon is clearly not happy about it.
