Reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has the option of being one of the biggest free agents who will hit the market next year. Recently, many rumours about the New York Knicks acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo have surfaced. The team will look to bounce back after landing the MVP. According to reports, the team is willing to spend money that will be needed to get Giannis and even Raptors President Masai Ujiri on board. The Greek Freak has not commented on the matter yet and has refused to comment on his situation with the Bucks. Thus the Knicks will be looking to trade Mills with Ujiri within time, so he could also convince Antetokounmpo to join the New York Knicks.

Though Giannis Antetokounmpo has not made any comments about his decision, it is possible that the player might move on to another team. When Giannis Antetokounmpo started playing for the Bucks, rumours surfaced saying that he was not fond of the attention a big market team brought. However, a study published by the Harvard Business School included a quote by the player which said otherwise. Antetokounmpo said that there would be no other teams he would like to play for as things have been going well with the Bucks. However, he added that signing becomes difficult if they do not perform well in 2020. Antetokounmpo was quick to deny the previous rumours. He said that he will not be addressing free agency publicly till the NBA 2019-20 season is over. He also refused to talk about it, even though various stories about the issue might come out.

This season, Antetokounpmo is averaging at 29.7 points, 14.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists this season. He scored his season-high 38 points against the LA Clippers on November 7. He has shot 58% from the ground and made 64.5 % of his free throws.
