Sharma admitted that the Blackcaps have been impressive but Team India features a match-winning bowling unit. He also heaped praise on the Indian batters and deemed Virat Kohli as a responsible cricketer.

Team India will face their biggest challenge in the Champions trophy so far when they face off against New Zealand. The Rohit Sharma-led side has secured back-to-back comprehensive wins against Bangladesh and Pakistan, but the Mitchell Santner-led side will be a force to reckon with. Ahead of the much-awaited clash, a former Indian cricketer and 2007 T20 World Cup hero has spoken out in favour of the India side and believes they will defeat New Zealand to remain undefeated in the group stage.
"New Zealand is playing good cricket recently, and it will be a good match. India is also performing well, and we will win the match... Our bowling side is a match-winning side, and the unit is doing well. Our batters have done well in the last 10 years. All of our batters, be it Shubhman, Rohit, or Iyer, are playing well. Virat is a responsible player, and he always stood up at crunch times. We also have players like Hardik Pandya, who can score runs quickly if needed," former India cricketer Joginder Sharma said, as quoted by ANI.

Team India has a tactical edge because they do not have to travel and can play on the same pitch in Dubai. While the pitch has been a distinctive element, the toss has not impacted the Indian team, which has chased in both matches and won against Bangladesh and Pakistan.
New Zealand may also make some changes, giving their bench players a chance to play while keeping their in-form players rested and injury-free.
