ICC T20I Rankings: Shubman Gill-led Team India are currently stationed in Zimbabwe to play a five match T20I series. The series currently hangs in balance with both India and Zimbabwe winning one match each. The Indian cricket team led by Shubman Gill had to endure a horrific loss in the first T20I, but they registered a stunning comeback in the second match and left Sikandar Raza's Zimbabwe begging for answers.
Sunrisers Hyderabad youngster Abhishek Sharma, who has been mentored by one of India's finest white ball player Yuvraj Singh announced his arrival on the international stage in some style. Sharma, earlier this year in the seventeenth edition of the Indian Premier League teamed up with Travis Head and belted around bowlers for fun. He has carried the same form to international cricket as well. Abhishek failed in the first T20I but he he was in no mood to spare the home team in the second T20I.
Sharma scored a brilliant 100 off 47 deliveries and left the Zimbabwe bowlers begging for answers. As a result of this stellar century, Sharma has made some massive gains in the recently released ICC T20I Rankings. The SRH youngster has broken into the top 100 and if he continues his purple patch, he can ho ahead and climb up the ladder pretty soon.

Though the headlines from the 2nd T20I were all about Abhishek Sharma, it was Ruturaj Gaikwad too who helped India sail past 200. The Chennai Super Kings skipper, courtesy of his gritty knock of 77* has climbed up 13 spots and has made it to the Top 10 of the list. Both Gaikwad and Abhishek Sharma striking form at the right time is a good news for the Indian team.
