India defeated Australia by four wickets to secure a place in the Champions Trophy 2025. They will now face the mighty New Zealand in the Champions Trophy final in Dubai on March 9.
Pakistan Journalist Accuses Glenn Maxwell Of Fixing Champions Trophy Semifinal
Ahead of the much anticipated summit clash, a Pakistan journalist has accused Glenn Maxwell of deliberately throwing the match away. The former RCB batter announced his arrival at the crease with a massive six. But Axar Patel cleaned him up in the very next ball.
Maxwell also dropped Virat Kohli on 51 and the former Indian skipper took the game away with a match-winning knock of 84. Naseem Rajput alleged that the player appeared to be playing for RCB.

In a local Pakistan channel he said, "Hum bahut bolte hain na Maxwell very well. Aaj mujhe aisa laga, Maxwell Royal Challengers Bengaluru ke liye khel raha hai, Kohli ki team ke liye khel raha hai. Ehsas isliye hua, ek toh woh jis tareeke se out hue, woh gend nahin tha jisse haath mein se balla nikal jaaye. Carey aur Smith ne ground banaake Maxwell ko de diya tha, 300 run ke player ab wahi they. 300 ab nazar aa rahe they jis tarah ki position pe woh le aa rahe they. Phir Kohli ka haathon ka dolly catch choda hai. IPL ka lucrative contract aisi cheez hai jab international cricket jam ho jaati hai."

India Will Face New Zealand In Champions Trophy Final On Sunday
India have been on a dominant run in the Champions Trophy having defeated Bangladesh, Pakistan, New Zealand and Australia. Rohit Sharma and Co. are looking very formidable but they will be aware of the threat the Kiwis possess. Having lost to New Zealand in two ICC finals, the onus will be on India to turn the clock in their favour this time. Both Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel have been central to India's plans and they will have to do their job one more time in a bid to lift that coveted trophy on Sunday.
