'MS Dhoni loves hookah': George Bailey

A video has gone viral on various social media platforms that shows MS Dhoni casually puffing on a hookah pipe during a social gathering. The cricket community is divided in its opinions, with some finding it hard to believe that the 42-year-old would engage in public hookah smoking, while others suggest that it might be flavored hookah he was enjoying.

Adding an interesting twist to the discussion, an old video from Cricket Australia (CA) has resurfaced. Uploaded on CA's official Facebook channel on September 26, 2018, the video pays tribute to Dhoni for leading India for the 200th time in the 50-over format.

In the video, former Australia ODI captain George Bailey, who played under Dhoni's leadership at the Chennai Super Kings in 2009 and 2010, talks about Dhoni's affinity for "hookah." Bailey shared anecdotes about how Dhoni would set up hookah in his hotel room, creating a space for players to gather and discuss various aspects of the game while enjoying the hookah experience.

"I think he may have incorporated this with the Indian team, too. I mean, he likes smoking a bit of the sheesha or the hookah. So, he would quite often set that up in his room and it was very much open-door policy," Bailey said.
