Pakistan 's premier batter Babar Azam has been in the headlines recently ahead of the mega ICC Champions Trophy 2025 clash versus India. Pakistan fans should be concerned as Babar did not attend the final practice session ahead of the big game on Sunday. What is the reason, is he injured or is he dropped? Pakistan coach Aaqib Javed did not wish to answer this and did not provide an update for it. This has sparked speculations over his availability for the game, which also happens to be a must-win for Pakistan.
"For the cricketers, this is a profession," Aaqib said. "For them, it definitely is an honour. But, it is a profession. You try your best. In that, you sometimes lose as well. It is a match... one team will win, one will lose. How does it matter? Why so much pressure? Every game is different.
Team India has always relished the conditions on offer in Dubai and has performed exceptionally well. The recently concluded India vs Bangladesh Champions Trophy 2025 match was a prime example of how familiar the Indian team is with the Dubai International Stadium. So far, India have played seven ODI matches in the Dubai International Stadium and have ended up winning six of them.
The only game that India did not win was an ODI against Afghanistan in 2018, which ended in a tie. Coincidentally, it was also MS Dhoni 's 200th and final game as the captain of the Indian team.
