BCCI Central Contract: In a few days time, the Indian board will roll out the new contracts for players and Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli are expected to be demoted.
While it seem to be a big setback, one has to understand that the two superstars are no more featuring in all the three formats after India clinched the T20 World Cup and hence this was expected. Allrounder Ravindra Jadeja is also set to be moved out of the A-Grade contract.
As per Dainik Jagran, Nitish Reddy, Abhishek Sharma are also set to receive maiden contracts. To be a part of the 'C-category', a player requires to represent India in a minimum of 3 Tests or 8 ODIs or 10 T20Is within the specified period.

It is also believed that Shubman Gill may get a promotion and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is in the ‘B-category’, could get promoted to an ‘A-category’. Just like Jaiswal, Axar Patel could also be promoted to the ‘A-category’.
Meanwhile, chief selector Ajit Agarkar, head coach Gautam Gambhir and BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia are set to meet on March 29 in Guwahati to discuss India's probable squad for the England tour in June after the IPL . That is also the time when the contracts are set to be rolled out.

Kohli, Rohit to be Demoted
This was on the cards, Rohit and Kohli are part of the highest contract in the BCCI. It is reported that there is still a divide over the two players and that is delaying the announcement.
What's Up With RoKo?
Rohit and Kohli are currently featuring in the ongoing season of the IPL. While Kohli is part of RCB, Rohit is featuring for MI. Both the cricketers are integral for their respective team. The two are expected to be part of the tour of England as well.
