The first Test match between India and New Zealand in Bengaluru saw the Men in Blue struggle while batting first against the Kiwis. IND vs NZ: Rishabh Pant 's Left Knee Injured During Stumping Attempt, Walks Off The Field
Rishabh Pant was seen walking back from the ongoing play against New Zealand after he seemingly injured his knee. During the 36th over of the game, Ravindra Jadeja bowled to Devon Conway, and the wicketkeeper missed out on a chance of stumping. But after that, Pant was seen hobbling in the field.
It looks like Ravindra Jadeja's delivery hit Pant on his knees, and he was wincing in pain. The BCCI's medical staff had to check on him and he had to walk back. Team India players surrounded him as they checked upon Rishabh. Unfortunately, he was hit in the same knee which had to be operated after he suffered the horrific car accident back in 2022.
Dhruv Jurel is now in as the substitute as Pant makes the walk back to the dressing room. The medical team helped him to walk out of the pitch, while Jurel gears up for action as he takes Pant's spot.

The team needs to take a close look on the extent of Rishabh's injury as the star wicketkeeper-batter's presence will be critical for the team when they will tour Australia for the Border-Gavaksar Trophy series. A major injury blow for the Men in Blue could derail their plans as they move ahead in their red ball schedule as the road leads to the World Test Championship Final.
