The BCCI also offered details on the omission of three Indian cricketers. Pacer Mayank Yadav and all-rounder Shivam Dube are missing out from the squad. Notable, Yadav received his maiden cap in the Bangladesh T20I series and made an instant impact in the team. But the speedgun and Dube were unavailable for selection owing to injuries. Mayank is at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru for recuperation.

Another big blow is the absence of the dynamic all-rounder Riyan Parag. The Assam -based all-rounder has been advised to go for a long term resolution of his chronic right shoulder injury. In that case, he was deemed unavailable for selection as well.
