ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Mohammad Rizwan-led Pakistan's CT 2025 campaign has come to an end. Pakistan lost their opening Champions Trophy game against New Zealand and then went on to lose another game against Rohit Sharma-led India. After New Zealand beat Bangladesh on February 24, 2025, Pakistan were knocked out of the tournament. This is Pakistan's third consecutive group-stage elimination from ICC tournaments.

The 9th match of the Champions Trophy between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Going against the mood of the fans, the Pakistan Cricket Board shared the purchasing details of the Pakistan vs Bangladesh Champions Trophy match on their Instagram handle, but this post did not go down too well with the fans of the national team. People have bashed the Pakistan Cricket Board in the comment section, and a few of them have also urged other fans not to buy the tickets and let the stadiums be empty.

There were plenty of questions surrounding Pakistan's Champions Trophy squad. PCB supremo Mohsin Naqvi had reportedly urged the national selectors to reevaluate the composition of the squad and make a few required changes before February 12, 2025, the stipulated cut-off date to announce the final squad, but the selectors backed their picks, and the result is what the PCB would've never expected.

Pakistan lost two back-to-back games against India and New Zealand. It is the manner of Pakistan's loss that is being questioned by the fans and the experts of the game. New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 60 runs in the opening game, and they later succumbed by 7 wickets against India, which played a pivotal part in them being eliminated from the Champions Trophy.
