Rachin continued to impress in the white-ball format when New Zealand competed in the ICC Champions Trophy, and he joined an elite list of batters featuring former India skipper Sourav Ganguly and Shikhar Dhawan, among others.
New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra secured his fifth ODI ton in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and has become the eighth batter to score multiple tons in one edition of the marquee ICC tournament. He has now joined Sourav Ganguly, Saeed Anwar, Herschelle Gibbs, Upul Tharanga, Shane Watson, and Shikhar Dhawan on the list. All of the aforementioned names have two centuries, while Chris Gayle tops the list with three tons to his name.
Rachin is the first-ever New Zealander to etch his name among the elite list of cricketers, and he did it at the age of 24. He already holds the record for having the most hundreds for the Blackcaps in the ICC tournaments.

For South Africa, skipper Tamba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen fueled the excitement with their exciting partnership, while David Miller secured a sensational ton off 67 balls. But that was not it, as the Proteas Men fell 50 runs short of the target.

The WTC 2021 Final will be revisited, but it will be in the white ball format as New Zealand have set a date with the Rohit Sharma-led Team India on March 06, 2025, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the UAE.
