Champions Trophy 2025: Rohit Sharma-led Team India will give their everything in the ongoing semi-final clash in Champions Trophy 2025 against Australia to take revenge for their defeat in the 2023 ODI World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Both the teams have confirmed their spot in the knockout stage after being unbeaten in the group stage.
The Men in Blue are coming into the semi-final clash after beating Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Australia in the group stage fixtures. The first two games were easy for Rohit Sharma's side. However, they faced a tough challenge against the Black Caps, but Varun Chakaravarthy's five-wicket haul helped them win their final group stage fixture.
On the other hand, Australia won just one match in the tournament so far. The rest of their two group stage matches against South Africa and Afghanistan washed out following heavy rainfall.
Indian Batters Shine In Champions Trophy 2025
Recently, one of the major talking points has been the Men in Blue's batting lineup showing solid performance in the 15-match ICC tournament. Virat Kohli scored 133 runs in the tournament so far from three matches. Shreyas Iyer amassed 150 runs from India's three group stage matches. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill has scored 149 runs in the Champions Trophy 2025 so far.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli Eye To Rewrite Record Books
Compared to others, Men in Blue skipper Rohit Sharma has had a quiet tournament so far. However, the 37-year-old Indian opener will be aiming for big milestones in the Champions Trophy. Rohit scored 557 runs in the history of Champions Trophy from 14 matches. He is just 37 runs short of breaking Ricky Ponting's (593) feat and become the 10th highest run scorer in the Champions Trophy. The Indian skipper can also become the ninth highest run-getter in the history of the Champions Trophy, he needs 71 runs to achieve Rahul Dravid's (627) milestone.

On the other hand, the star Indian batter Virat Kohli, who scored an unbeaten century against Pakistan, can etch his name on the record books alongside Sachin Tendulkar. The 36-year-old needs 43 runs to become the second batter after the Master Blaster to smash 2500 runs in ICC ODI tournaments.
