India and New Zealand will be facing off against each other in the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai.

It is finally time for the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy as India and New Zealand are meeting in the finals of the ICC tournament. The massive ICC tournament has seen several occurrences before and during the tournament as up until a while ago it was unsure whether the tournament will be taking place in Dubai or Pakistan . Now that it is the day of the finals, New Zealand and India will be looking to give it their all to take the ICC Champions Trophy home with them after a hard fought tournament from both sides.
New Zealand Win Toss, Opt To Bat First Against India
With the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy just moments away, the coin toss has been won by New Zealand. New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner decided to bat first against India in the finals. Mitchell Santner while speaking after winning the coin toss also revealed that New Zealand will be without bowler Matt Henry in the finals after he picked up an injury.
India will be going forward with the same team that defeated Australia in the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy.

Rohit Sharma Creates Unwanted Record At Coin Toss
Rohit Sharma as he lost the coin toss in the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy also created an unwanted record. This was the 12th time in a row that Rohit Sharma has lost a coin toss as he equalled the record held by former West Indies captain Brian Lara for the most coin tosses lost in a row.

This streak of coin toss losses began in the finals of the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup .
India have been undefeated so far in the tournament whereas New Zealand have one loss against their name. This loss for New Zealand came against India in the group stage of the tournament.
