'Thank You Gill And Varun': Indian Fans Break The Internet After Chakaravarthy And Shubman Dismiss Travis Head In Dubai

Champions Trophy 2025: India and Australia are facing off in the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy after both teams finished the group stage undefeated. India and Australia's rivalry has blossomed ever since India were defeated by Australia in the finals of the World Test Championship. Following the defeat in the WTC finals, India also lost the ODI World Cup final against Australia. India were able to get one back when they defeated Australia in the super 8 of the T20 World Cup but Australia exacted their revenge with a 3-1 thrashing in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

The bane for the Indian Cricket team in all of these matches against Australia was batter Travis Head who has an excellent track record against India. 

Travis Head's Dangerous Track Record Against India 

Travis Head has had an excellent track record against India. It started in the World Test Championship final where he scored 163 and 18 to hand India the defeat. He then carried his form forward as he made an excellent 137 in the finals of the ODI World Cup to hand India another defeat in an ICC tournament final.

Travis Head had looked dangerous in the super 8 clash in the T20 World Cup but failed to carry Australia to victory. Head also proved to be the change maker in the Border Gavaskar Trophy as he finished the series with 448 runs across nine innings.

As India and Australia met in the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy, fans were hoping that Travis Head gets dismissed early and does not cause pain to Indian Cricket fans. That wish came true as Varun Chakaravarthy was able to dismiss Travis Head just as the batter had started going all guns blazing.
