Cricket Australia Announces The Schedule For Home Ashes In 2025, Iconic Test venue Set For Debut
After the culmination of the ongoing World Test Championship 2025 cycle, Australia will host England at home for a five-match Test series in the fall of 2025
Ashes 2025: Test cricket, the longest and the purest format of international cricket might have a lot of concerns regarding its relevance and its future, but it certainly produces high quality cricket when top international teams play each other. Whenever Test cricket is being spoken about, Ashes straightaway comes to the mind. England taking on Australia in a Test match setup is something that fans of the sport savour. Australia are the defending champions of the Ashes and much to their advantage they'll play the series in home next year.
Cricket Australia Announces Ashes Schedule
The English cricket team has gone through a massive phase of transformation and transition as compared to the last time when they played the Ashes in Australia. The Aussies, in their own backyard had embarrassed Joe Root's England and handed them a 4-0 series loss. This, in many ways became significant in England's Test history as it gave them a much needed wake up call.
This time around, Australia will have to nullify fresh set of challenges posed to them by the aggressive English team. The Ashes will be played in the 2027 World Test Championship cycle. Cricket Australia has now announced the schedule for Ashes 2025-26 and has added Perth as a fixture which is the newest addition to an Australia bound Ashes series.

'The 2025-26 Ashes dates align with our recently released seven-year international schedule and we are grateful for the support state and territory governments are providing to enhance and grow our major events', stated Cricket Australia's Executive General Manager of events and operations, Joel Morrison in Perth.

England Eye To End Their Ashes Drought
It has been close to a decade that England have had their hands on the Ashes. Whenever they have toured Australia, the outcome has never been in their favour. Australia, on the other hand have somehow managed to retain the urn in their previous two outings to England. Banking on the ‘Bazball’ approach, England might fancy their chances this time around, but any Australian side on Australian soil is nothing but an absolute threat.
