Days After India's Triumph At Champions Trophy 2025, BCCI Announces Whopping Cash Reward Of Rs 58 Crore For Rohit And Co.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) honored Rohit Sharma-led Team India for their triumph at the recently concluded Champions Trophy 2025.

Champions Trophy 2025: Days after Team India's triumph at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on March 20 announced a hefty cash reward of Rs 58 crore for the Men in Blue. Rohit Sharma -led Team India sealed the prestigious ICC title after beating New Zealand by four wickets in the Final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on March 9. Team India stayed unbeaten throughout the tournament and got their hands on the title for a record third time.

Meanwhile, the Men in Blue also received a cash reward of Rs 19.53 crore from the ICC for their victory at the recently concluded Champions Trophy 2025.

'Winning Back-To-Back ICC titles Is Special And...': Roger Binny

While announcing the cash reward for the Men in Blue, BCCI president Roger Binny said that the prize money is a recognition of the hard work that everyone puts in behind the scenes. 

“Winning back-to-back ICC titles is special and this reward recognizes Team India’s dedication and excellence on the global stage. The cash award is a recognition of the hard work that everyone puts in behind the scenes. This was also our second ICC Trophy in 2025, following the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup triumph and it highlights the strong cricketing ecosystem in place in our country,” Roger Binny said as quoted by BCCI.

Meanwhile, the BCCI Secretary said that Team India's triumph at the Champions Trophy 2025 justified the Rohit Sharma-led side's dominance in white-ball cricket.

“The BCCI is proud to honour the players and support staff with this well-deserved reward. Their dominance in world cricket is a result of years of hard work and strategic execution. This victory has justified India’s top ranking in white-ball cricket, and we are sure the team will continue to excel in the years to come. The dedication and commitment shown by the players have set a new benchmark, and we are confident that Indian cricket will keep raising the bar on the global stage,” Devajit Saikia said.

Team India's Run In CT 2025

Team India started their CT 2025 campaign with a six-wicket win over India in Dubai on February 20. The Men in Blue went on to seal a six-wicket triumph over their arch-rivals Pakistan on February 23. In their final group-stage game, India suffered a bit but clinched a 44-run win against New Zealand. In the knockout stage, the Men in Blue sealed a dominating four-wicket win against Australia, with which they confirmed their place in the Final game.

In the Final of the Champions Trophy 2025, Team India showed a dominating performance and got their hands on the prestigious silverware.
