Deodhar Trophy: India B vs India C Final report card & player ratings

India B defeated India C by 51 runs at the JSCA Stadium to win the 2019-20 Deodhar Trophy. Here, we take a look at the report card of players from both teams.

India B defeated India C in a one-sided final match to win the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy. The 47th edition of Deodhar Trophy went underway on October 31 and the final was played on Monday. All matches were played at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.

Before the match, India B team captain Parthiv Patel won the toss and decided to bat first. India B lost both their openers for just 28 runs on the board. Their innings was finally stabilised by Kedar Jadhav, who top-scored with 86 and useful contributions from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vijay Shankar and Krishnappa Gowtham. India B batted through their 50 overs to post a competitive total of 283-7 on the board.

India C got off to a terrible start, losing half their side for just 77 runs. India C never recovered in their run-chase as they ended up posting just 232-9 in their allotted overs. The Parthiv Patel-led India B side eventually won the match by 51 runs and won the 2019-20 Deodhar Trophy.
