Indian batting icon Virat Kohli had stepped down as the captain of the Indian Captain Team back in 2022. He had taken the reins over from former captain MS Dhoni and many had considered Virat Kohli as his protege. After Virat Kohli had stepped down from the role of the captain of the test team, he had revealed that former captain MS Dhoni had sent him a message and Dhoni was the only one. Ever since then there has been much speculation regarding this message that Dhoni sent to Kohli.
Now MS Dhoni has broken his silence on the message he sent to Virat Kohli after he had stepped down from test captaincy back in 2022.

There has been a lot of speculation regarding the message that MS Dhoni had sent to Virat Kohli after he had stepped down from test captaincy. While speaking at a corporate event, MS Dhoni was asked about the message he had sent to Virat Kohli.

“It's deja vu. I was asked a similar question in a JioHotsar show; you will see the answer during the IPL. I'm not great when it comes to being in touch with people but yeah, certain times when you someone needs you, you just drop in a message,” said MS Dhoni as he opened up on his message to Virat Kohli in a now viral video.
What Virat Kohli Had Said About Dhoni's Message
In a press conference in 2022, Virat Kohli had revealed how only MS Dhoni was the one to message him during the tough times that he was going through.

"Let me tell you one thing: when I left Test captaincy, I got a message from only one person, with whom I had played previously; that was MS Dhoni," Kohli said. "Many people have my number. On TV, people give lots of suggestions; people have a lot to say. But none of the people who had my number sent me a message," Virat Kohli had said in a press conference following India's loss to Pakistan in the Asia Cup.
