Pakistan Knocked Out Of Champions Trophy 2025
Both Pakistan's batting and bowling didn't hit the required level and the likes of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah looked very ordinary against New Zealand And India respectively.
Pakistan let down their guard against the Kiwis and their opponents capitalised with some heavy batting fireworks in Karachi. Kane Williamson's side posted a mammoth 320 runs on the board and the home side could only manage to score 260 runs with Babar Azam and Khushdil Shah chipping in with 64 and 69 runs respectively.

Ex-PAK Captain Lambasts Pakistan's Poor Champions Trophy Squad
Former Pakistan women's team captain Sana Mir questioned PCB's team selection for the Champions Trophy. She insisted that even if MS Dhoni was at the helm of this Pakistan team he wouldn't have managed to do much. On ‘Game On Hai’ programme she said, ‘The 15 that have been selected , even if you make MS Dhoni or Younis Khan captain, nobody can do anything to the team because it has not been selected on the basis of the playing conditions.’

India went on to inflict a second defeat on Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday. Despite the hype surrounding the match, The 'Men In Green' were completely outclassed by their compatriot as Rohit Sharma's side racked up their second win to seal place in the Champions Trophy semifinals.
Mir further added, 'I was watching the match when I got a message from a friend that India are 100 for 2 'I think it's over'. So, I said the match was over when the squad was announced.'
Pakistan have now failed to get past the group stage in the last two ICC events. They were expected to take advantage of their home comfort but their poor performance didn't help their cause as it stands.
