'I Call Him Sir': Former Pakistan Cricketer Calls Sachin Tendulkar 'Most Honest and Kind'

Former Pakistan cricketer Saeed Ajmal has lavished praise on Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, calling him the "most honest and kind" individual in the world of cricket. Ajmal, who had the opportunity to compete against Tendulkar during his playing days, expressed his deep admiration for the Indian icon, even referring to him with the utmost respect as "Sir."

Former Pakistan cricketer speaks highly of Sachin Tendulkar

Speaking at a recent event, Saeed Ajmal shared his thoughts on Sachin Tendulkar, stating, "Sachin is a great cricketer. The most honest and kind in the world. He is a legend. I call him Sir. He is worthy of that." Ajmal's heartfelt words reflect the immense regard many cricketers, not just in India but across the cricketing world, hold for Tendulkar.

Ajmal, who had the privilege of bowling to Tendulkar during some of the fiercest India- Pakistan encounters, recounted his experiences of playing against the Indian batting maestro. "In cricket, when you go to the ground, there is nothing like Sir, but I have played with him in it, and it is a matter of honour for me," he said.

The former off-spinner also expressed pride in having dismissed Sachin Tendulkar during his career, an achievement that Ajmal cherishes. "I have got him out, it is a matter of happiness for me. I will always remember this, and whenever I played with him, I played as a human with respect," Ajmal added.

Tendulkar, often regarded as one of the greatest cricketers in the history of the game, has earned the respect and admiration of his peers from around the world. His humility, sportsmanship, and on-field achievements have left a lasting impact on those who have shared the field with him.

Sachin Tendulkar's cricketing record is unparalleled, making him one of the most celebrated players in the history of the sport. He is the highest run-scorer in both Test and One Day International (ODI) cricket, with 15,921 runs in Tests and 18,426 runs in ODIs.
