‘Decisive, a Proud Indian’: Ex-LSG Coach Extols BCCI’s Decision to Appoint Gautam Gambhir as Coach
Gautam Gambhir's former LSG coaching associate is fond of the BCCI's decision to bring in the Ex-India opener as the coach of the national Men's cricket side.
A new era has been ushered into the Indian Cricket Team as Gautam Gambhir has been appointed as the head coach. Coach Rahul Dravid's exit was capped off with a marvellous exit as Team India won the T20 World Cup which was his final assignment with the side. Gambhit's addition brings a lot of cheers and joy as he has been a man with unmatched mentorship skills. Having LSG soar into the playoffs and elevating KKR to their third title win, his track record as a coach has been immaculate. GG's arrival has earned plaudits from the fans and analysts. One of Gambhir's former IPL coaching teammates was in awe of the Indian cricket great.

BCCI's decision to appoint Gautam Gambhir as head coach has Andy Flower delighted
The BCCI's decision to name Gautam Gambhir as the head coach of the Indian men's national cricket team was embraced by the current head coach of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Andy Flower. He also stated that Gambhir is a proud Indian and that his determination and unambiguous perspective on the game will assist him to thrive in his new position.
"He is quite a man, Gautam Gambhir, I really enjoyed working with him. He has got strong opinions, he has got strong clear views on the game. He is very decisive, he is a very proud Indian, he loves Indian cricket and his position, representing Indian cricket.
"I think it is a good appointment and I think he is going to be successful," said Flower during an appearance on the Sony Sports broadcast during the India-Zimbabwe T20I series.
Andy Flower has been associated with Gautam Gambhir in their days at the IPL franchise, Lucknow Super Giants. Flower served as the head coach, while Gambhir was the mentor. Under Gambhir's tutelage, the LSG reached the IPL playoff and posed a solid threat to the opposition sides.
Gambhir will take charge of the Men in Blue from the India tour of Sri Lanka, where both teams will feature in ODIs and T20I match-ups around multiple venues in the picturesque state of Lanka.
