Gautam Gambhir Follows Dravid’s Map at India’s Net Session in SL Tracks, Interacts With Sky, Hardik
In his first assignment as head coach of Team India, Gautam Gambhir chose to follow the former coach's steps as the Men in Blue show up for net practice.
The Indian Cricket Team have made their way to Sri Lanka to begin their preparations for the white-ball series consisting of three ODIs and T20Is. A new era in Indian Cricket is upon us as Gautam Gambhir has taken charge as the head coach. The new leadership is expected to be a strong force as they will have substantial targets that they aim to clinch. As they began their net practice and training session in the Pallekele tracks, it was intriguing what would Gambhir's approach as the coach would be. As it turns out, the new coach is following the existing blueprint.

Gautam Gambhir Takes a Page Out of Dravid’s Playbook in First Team India Assignment vs SL
Team India underwent a training session after reaching the Pallekele International Stadium, as they began their white-ball tour to Sri Lanka. As per Revsports, T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav delivered a speech to commence the training and openers Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal were said to 'Just Attack' while facing the balls. The openers did their training in two parts which lasted for 40 minutes before the other batters, like Rinku Singh, Suryakumar, and more practiced.
Reportedly, head coach Gautam Gambhir was also seen interacting with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya and he had a prolonged conversation with them. The star-all-rounder also faced the net with the ball and did simulation practice under the new assistant coach Abhishek Nayar.

Team India will feature under a new captaincy in T20Is as batter Suryakumar Yadav will lead the Men in Blue against Sri Lanka. Charith Asalanka has been chosen as the skipper for the Sri Lanka T20I side, and they will face off in the first T20I at the Pallekele International Stadium in Sri Lanka.
