Hanuma Vihari takes a jibe at ACA members after political climate shifts in Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) has issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Hanuma Vihari on Tuesday. Vihari, who captained Andhra for one game in the previous Ranji Trophy season, confirmed this development on social media.

Hanuma Vihari also took a jab at members of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) for previously delaying his NOC for unknown reasons. He mentioned that he had been requesting the NOC for the past two months, and despite sending multiple emails, the ACA did not respond. However, Vihari noted that as soon as the political climate in Andhra Pradesh shifted with the elections, he received the NOC immediately.

“I have been asking for an NOC for 2 months, mailed them 4 times. Didn’t give my NOC. Now that things have turned, they’ve issued my NOC immediately. lol,” Hanuma Vihari wrote.

The India international, who has played 16 Test matches, was previously involved in a dispute with the state association. The ACA issued a show-cause notice to him in March. Hanuma Vihari was unexpectedly removed as captain after leading the team in just one game, citing 'political interference' as the reason for stepping down.

Following this incident, the ACA issued a show-cause notice to which Hanuma Vihari responded by requesting an NOC to switch associations. Vihari had expressed a desire to leave Andhra ahead of the 2023–24 season, with reports suggesting he intended to join Madhya Pradesh.
