Sunrisers Hyderabad have got a huge boost as all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy is all set to join the camp ahead of the IPL 2025 campaign. As per PTI, the Indian star has received the necessary clearance after passing the fitness test for a side strain which kept him on the sidelines since January.
The PTI report mentions that the 21-year-old has successfully completed all the fitness procedures including the yo-yo test at the BCCI Centre of Excellence and has already received the green signal from the medical team. Nitish last appeared for India at the Eden Gardens during the T20I match on January 22 but he neither bowled nor batted in that fixture. Nitish was retained by SRH for INR 6 crore and is expected to play a central role in this upcoming season.

SRH lost to KKR in the IPL 2024 final and they will open their IPL 2025 campaign against Rajasthan Royals on March 24. Nitish burst into the scene last year, having scored 303 runs in 13 matches, and he was also very impressive in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, bringing his maiden Test ton on Australian soil.
As per ESPN Cricinfo, Nitish featured in a practice match on Friday where he is believed to have bowled without showing any discomfort. Keeping in mind his importance in the Indian Test squad, the player was not rushed and he is expected to be a part of the Indian setup when the team travels to England following the conclusion of IPL.
