India vs Bangladesh Clash Interrupted After a Floodlight Tower Briefly Stopped Working

The 3rd T20I match between India and Bangladesh saw a minor snag take place when one of the floodlights of the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad went off. It happened when Team India was at 119/1 in 8.3, with Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav leading the charge. The stoppage of floodlights caused a delay, as it was said to be an electrical failure. The moment was expected to alter Team India's momentum, much to the likes of when Rishabh Pant took a break to nurse an apparent injury during the T20 World Cup Final to slow down South Africa's momentum.

But the opposite happened as the wicketkeeper-batter mauled the Bangladeshi bowling attack. He scored five sixes in an over and went on to record the second-fastest ton in T20I Cricket for Team India.

Speaking of the match, India crushed Bangladesh with a brilliant maiden T20 International century led by Sanju Samson , propelling India to a record-breaking 297 for 6, their highest total in the format, in the third and final match of the series In addition, this total surpassed Afghanistan's 278/3 against Ireland in Dehradun in 2019 to become the second-highest in T20I history. The highest T20I total ever achieved by India was 260/5 in an Indore match against Sri Lanka in 2017.

After victories in Gwalior and New Delhi, the hosts have already established an unstoppable 2-0 lead in the series. However, the match being academic in nature did not deter the aggressive behaviour of the Indians.

India chose to bat first and lost opener Abhishek Sharma (4) early in the innings due to a mistimed pull off Tanzim Hasan, but the chaos that ensued was unimaginable.

In the second over of the innings, Sanju Samson 's altered mindset was evident on the pitch as the right-hander tormented pacer Taskin Ahmed for four straight fours, including two cover drives and as many flicks.
