One such incident occurred in Chepauk, where fans cheered loudly as Bumrah walked out to bat.

Jasprit Bumrah Gets the Rohit-Kohli Treatment From Chepauk Crowd as He Walked in to Bat During India’s Innings
Jasprit Bumrah's fandom clearly knows no bounds as the superstar pace bowler for Team India has become a superstar. It was clearly evident during Day 2 of the India vs Bangladesh Test match in Chennai when he came out to the field. However, Jasprit was padded up and he had come out to bat against Bangladesh after Akash Deep. Nevertheless, the Chepauk crowd gave out a roaring cheer for India's ‘national treasure' as he came out to bat. Bumrah received the Virat Kohli & Rohit Sharma treatment.
Bumrah opened with a bang as he hit a four off the first ball he faced. Another round of cheers and applause stook over the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. However, he did not last long either as Jasprit had to walk back after scoring seven runs. India's innings ended after they were bundled at the score of 376.

When Team India came in to bowl, the pacers were heavily effective as Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep took out the opponent's momentum ahead of the lunch break. Deep took two back-to-back scalps of Zakir Hasan and Mominul Haque. On the other hand, Bumrah opened India's wicket tally after dismissing opener Shadman Islam. All the three BAN batters were bowled out before the lunch break.
