Gautam Gambhir Values Ravindra Jadeja's Presence In Team India

Team India has set a date with New Zealand in the summit clash of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. After the Rohit Sharma -led side defeated Australia, Mitchell Santner's men beat South Africa to set up the final in the UAE. The upcoming clash has everyone thrilled as it will act as the sequel to the 2000 CT final and the WTC Final in 2021, which the Blackcaps won. Team India has the ultimate chance to avenge both losses and continue to remain in their winning ways. Ahead of the clash, Coach Gautam Gambhir acknowledged Ravindra Jadeja's prowess in the sport.

"I've always felt that he's always gone under the radar. I think he's someone we don't speak highly about. See what he's done to Indian cricket, be it test format, be it a T20 format or in 50-over format. I think he's very important to Indian cricket in what he's done, not just with a bat or ball, in the field as well. He's, I think, one of the top all-rounders going around in world cricket. We in the dressing room know the value of Ravindra Jadeja. It's not what happens outside the dressing room," Gautam Gambhir said in a video while speaking to ICC.

Ravindra Jadeja Can Be Game-Changing For India

Ravindra Jadeja has delivered a promising performance in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy with the ball. He has been one of the key spinners for the side in the unusual tracks at the Dubai International Stadium. The spin-bowling all-rounder has four wickets in all his four appearances so far in the marquee ICC tournament and has an average of 35.43 and an economy of 4.86.

The all-rounder has batted in two innings -- against New Zealand and Australia -- where he scored 16 runs and remained unbeaten in his 2nd appearance by scoring just two. However, his prowess with the bat is also undeniable, as he has helped the side in scoring big runs while in the middle-order.
