IPL 2025: Kane Williamson , who is part of the Karachi Kings in PSL, may miss a few games. And he is set to miss a few games at the PSL because of his commentary stint with Star Sports in IPL 2025. Williamson went unsold at the mega auction when all 10 franchises did not show interest in getting him onboard.
But within days after the snub at the IPL, he got a contract in PSL from Karachi Kings. But, now due to his commitment with IPL, he will be missing the initial few matches. Williamson is reportedly set to miss three games for the Karachi Kings.
"South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen drafted by Islamabad United in Supplementary category and New Zealand duo Mark Chapman and Kane Williamson selected in the Platinum and Supplementary categories, respectively will also be unavailable for a few matches to Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings," remarked PSL in a statement.
In fact, this is the first time that the PSL will be clashing with the IPL and will kick off on April 11 in Karachi, with the final scheduled for May 18. That makes things very interesting.
Platinum: Hasan Ali, Dawid Warner, Abbas Afridi
Diamond: Shan Masood, Mohammad Nawaz, Shoaib Malik
Gold: Mir Hamza, Zahid Mehmood, Irfan Khan Niazi, Arafat Minhas
Silver: Mohammad Akhlaq, Mohammad Amir Khan

Karachi Kings play their season opener on April 12 against Multan Sultans. The game is set to take place at the National Bank stadium in Karachi. Williamson would certainly be missed.
