The Chennai Super Kings will renew their rivalry with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in an IPL 2025 match at the Chepauk Stadium on Friday, March 28. Two cricketing icons, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, will once again share the stage on one of the biggest stages in world cricket.
Both CSK and RCB opened their IPL 2025 campaign with a statement win, and the stakes will be pretty high in this much-anticipated southern derby. Both Virat and Dhoni are no longer in charge of their respective teams, and the onus will be on Rajat Patidar and Ruturaj Gaikwad to lead their team to ultimate glory this time.
RCB are currently second in the IPL points table with two points and a healthy run rate of 2.137. CSK are in the 4th place with an NRR of 0.493.
The MA Chidambaram Stadium pitch tends to help the spinners a lot. As the match progresses, the surface is expected to get slower, and dew also plays a major factor in the game.
Since the inception of the IPL, both teams have faced each other 33 times in IPL. CSK have enjoyed a superior record, having won 21 games, while RCB have recorded 11 wins so far.
