Why Rishabh Pant Wants To Leave Delhi Capitals?

Just one year after his heroic comeback to the cricket circuit, Rishabh Pant is set to leave his boyhood franchise. Delhi Capitals have not retained the explosive batter for IPL 2025, and should they not enforce the RTM on Pant in the forthcoming mega auction, then it will formally be the end of Rishabh Pant at Delhi Capitals. Ahead of the release of the retention list, speculations were rife about Pant's departure from DC, and the assertions eventually turned out to be true. However, what is left to be explored is the reason behind his exit.

According to a striking report, Rishabh Pant wasn't on the same page with the owners' point of view and also wasn't satisfied with the change in the coaching positions.

"In case of Pant, more than money, he was not happy about his powers being curbed by GMR, the co-owners, who will run the show for the next two years. He was also, it is learnt, not happy with Hemang Badani as head coach and Y Venugopal Rao as Team Director," the PTI report states.

Not being retained means, Rishabh Pant will enter the bidding pool and may likely go past the record Rs. 24.75 crore bid that was made by KKR to acquire the services of Mitchell Starc in IPL 2024 Auctions.
