IPL 2024: Mumbai Indians' strengths and weaknesses

Strengths

Experienced captain: Mumbai Indians have an experienced captain in the form of Rohit Sharma, who has helped the franchise win the IPL title a record five times. Rohit's overall experience will come in handy for Mumbai Indians in the next season as well, where they will look to win their sixth trophy.

Return of Hardik Pandya: Mumbai Indians will look to cash in on Hardik Pandya's return to the side for the upcoming season. Mumbai pulled off one of the biggest heists in IPL history as they brought back Hardik Pandya into the team. He was the captain of the Gujarat Titans and won the IPL 2022 season with the team.

Weaknesses

Lack of consistency: One of the biggest problems affecting Mumbai Indians for the past multiple seasons is their lack of ability to perform consistently. Mumbai Indians must bring in the desired change to achieve a level of consistency that is required in a competition like the IPL.

Bowling unit: Apart from Jasprit Bumrah, Mumbai Indians don't have too many players who can take responsibility with the ball. Bumrah is currently the most experienced bowler in the squad. Mumbai Indians will look to strengthen their bowling unit in the upcoming IPL 2024 auction.
