Former England skipper & captain Michael Vaughan expresses his opinions on almost everything. Vaughan, who is an Ashes winning English Test skipper has enjoyed a bittersweet relationship with Indian cricket fans. Vaughan often gets called out for his opinions, but its the passion with which he keeps his points across. Vaughan this time around has taken on his own cricketing board, the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and has criticized them.

Got To Make A Brutal Call: Michael Vaughan

The success of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has put franchise cricket at the forefront of the sport. The BCCI boasts a very successful record of hosting the IPL for seventeen years and all the other cricket boards have tried to emulate it. The ECB has found some success with 'The Hundred', but not to forget that the 100 legal deliveries format moves away from T20 Cricket.

This time around, 'The Hundred' did not find as much success as it was expected too. Former English skipper Vaughan feels that it happened because the ECB did not pay any heed to the scheduling of the domestic tournament which ended up clashing with the Olympics. Vaughan while speaking to Telegraph Cricket spoke at length about it.

'I'll be honest about this year's Hundred. I think the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) screwed up. I think they put it up against the Olympics. I just think that the scheduling of this year's Hundred was poor. When you think you are trying to sell it fora lot of money. I think the ECB have got to make it very, very kind of brutal call. I don't think there should be bilateral one day series anymore', said Vaughan.

Cricket Finds It Footing In The Olympics

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is continuously working towards making cricket a global. This is the reason why they handed over the partial hosting rights of the T20 World Cup to USA along with the West Indies. Cricket will now feature in the Los Angeles Olympics which is one pathbreaking move as far as the sport is concerned.
