Strange are the ways of BCCI as its left side doesn't know about its right and the right has no idea about what's going on, on the other side. Former India captain Rahul Dravid today deposed before BCCI ethics officer DK Jain at a five-star hotel near Wankhede stadium in Mumbai this morning and informed him that it was on the instruction of BCCI that he had taken 'leave of absence' and he has no problem tendering formal resignation from India Cements.

Dravid's explanation on the matter

The questioning went on for more than two hours where Dravid explained how and why he was not 'conflicted" and that he had kept "no relations" with his 'former company.' Now, if he was indeed adviced by the BCCI, then how can the same organization hold him 'guilty' of a violation which was directed by them only? How can BCCI's Ethics Officer punish a legendary figure like Dravid for something directed by another department of the body?

"Yes my deposition has been completed and I do not want to say anything more than that," an angry Dravid told a few media persons trying to take his reaction.

Dravid reached the venue of the deposition on time and after a few formalities the deposition started at 11:50 am and continued till 2:30 pm after which Dravid left in a hurry. His body language suggested his displeasure at being apprehended and questioned like that. Dravid also told the Ethics officer that he has no problem in tendering resignation but BCCI shouldn't have misguided him and landing him into trouble.
