Pakistan and New Zealand, who locked horns in the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will now come face-to-face for a five-match T20I series that will be played in the backyard of the Kiwis. Earlier this year, the Kiwis had defeated Pakistan in a tri-nation series involving South Africa. New Zealand and Pakistan were also a part of the same group of the Champions Trophy.
After another disastrous outing in another ICC event, the Pakistan team looks to restart from scratch. Mohammad Rizwan has been dropped as Pakistan's T20I captain. Salman Ali Agha has been given the leadership role. Interestingly, both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have been dropped from Pakistan's T20 setup.
