Rohit Sharma comes out as one of the most verbose individuals on the field. The cricketer controls his team like a true leader and does not shy away from chiding his teammates or embracing them. So, from "Garden main mat ghoomo" to "Isko toh kuch bhi daal," Rohit Sharma is carefree with his boys and quite likeable in the dressing room. Thus, being easily approachable both in the Indian and Mumbai Indians pavilion, moreover, being on the scene for 15 years now, Rohit Sharma ought to have many friends from the cricket field. Right? It is apparently not the case.
Jatin Sapru, who is a known commentator on Star Sports, recently appeared on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast. In the long session, Sapru addressed many subjects related to cricket and being the knower of the game, who travels where the team goes, Sapru was asked to bring out some of the unknown facts about Indian cricket and superstars of Indian cricket. Hence, a barrage of questions on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were thrown at him. Among the many questions he addressed on Rohit Sharma, one was about who is his "Bro" in the cricketing world. Sapru took time in answering and did not name Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, or even Abhishek Nayar. Since Rohit Sharma becomes the mentor of the young guys, therefore, chances are that the young guys will likely be his buddies.
"Rohit's bro in the cricketing world is. It's always whoever the young guy is." Said Sapru.
Rohit Sharma is currently leading Team India in the T20 World Cup 2024. After victories over Ireland, Pakistan, and USA, the team has seamlessly qualified for the Super 8 stage. In Super 8, the Rohit-led side will take on Afghanistan on June 20, in Barbados. All eyes would be on Rohit Sharma and the team as the whole cricket-loving country is yearning for an ICC trophy. Will the men-in-blue come out with the goods this time? All to look forward to.
