With the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh round the corner, the pitch is garnering all the attention again. While it was a batting paradise dished out during the opening Test, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is using bizarre methods to prepare the strip for the second game. Due to some heavy rains in the city of Rawalpindi, the PCB is using fans to dry off the pitch. This is hilarious and now that the pictures have surfaced on social space, it is drawing massive reactions from the fans.  One would have expected that an iconic cricketing venue would have had better technology to deal with such issues. One should not be surprised to see such tactics being used in Pakistan as it was the same story during the opening day of the first Test when it had rained. The same technique was deployed.

Pakistan would like to bounce back to winning ways and level the two-match series against Bangladesh. The hosts succumbed to a heavy 10-wicket loss in the opening Test. The Pakistan side is also in all probability going to make wholesale changes to the XI. It would be interesting to see if they opt for a spinner.

Meanwhile, the hosts have called up leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed to the squad ahead of the final Test against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi. Amidst a slew of other call-ups, Aamer Jamal, who the PCB had declared was ruled out of the series, will also join the Pakistan camp, his participation "subject to fitness clearance".

On the day of the Test, it wouold be interesting to see how the conditions and the pitch plays.
