BCCI Reportedly Introduced Few Diktats After India's BGT Failure
BCCI issued a directive that playing domestic cricket is mandatory to be eligible for selection for the Indian Cricket Team. The likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill took part in the Ranji Trophy and Virat's return to domestic cricket after 12 years also drew a huge crowd at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
The Indian Team usually have a very jam-packed schedule as they are involved in matches throughout the year. Most of the prominent stars are also involved in the IPL which also has a time frame of at least two months.

Shikhar Dhawan Gives His Verdicts On BCCI's New Diktat
Shikhar Dhawan endorsed BCCI's new disciplinary moves. However, the former Indian opener also wants to ensure that the players don't get burned out due to the piling of fixtures.
As quoted BY PTI, on the sidelines of the India vs Pakistan match in the Champions Trophy he said, 'It's a very good decision. My only thing is that players should not be overloaded, that's all. But people will monitor that.

'It's a good thing that current players should play domestic as well -- like how Virat played (for Delhi a few weeks back) and the stadium got packed. At the same time, they should be rested enough.'
Dhawan is serving as one of the ambassadors for the Champions Trophy and witnessed Virat Kohli's heroics In Dubai. Kohli scored a magnificent 100 to bring up his 51st ODI century and helped Team India to secure a place in the Champions Trophy semifinal. India will now face New Zealand on Sunday and will seek a 100 per cent record before entering the knockouts.
