Sarfaraz’s Brother Musheer Khan Faces Injury Blow Due to Road Accident, Set to Miss Irani Cup, Ranji
Musheer Khan was travelling to Lucknow to participate in the Irani Cup. The batter will miss out on the match after he was injured in a road accident.
MCA Batter and Duleep Trophy sensation Musheer Khan has suffered an unfortunate roadblock in his young cricket career. Musheer, Sarfaraz Khan's brother, suffered a fracture after he was involved in a road accident while he was travelling through Uttar Pradesh. Musheer has been an absolute trailblazer lately, but the setback will be a big one for the sensational batter.

Musheer Khan, Father Naushad Injured in a Road Accident While Traveling to Lucknow for Irani Cup
As per Times of India, Musheer Khan was travelling with his father, Naushad Khan, to participate in the Irani Cup in Lucknow. But now, the upstart batter will miss out on the match. More details on the accident and the extent of the injury are yet to be determined.
Reports also mention that Naushad and his son Musheer Khan travelled separately from the Mumbai Team, and they were en route to take part in the Irani Cup, where Mumbai will be facing the Rest of India at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. But since the accident happened, Musheer will be unable to compete. The MCA did not make an official statement, but the selectors would be picking up a replacement for the opening batter.
"He didn't travel with the Mumbai team to Lucknow for the Irani Cup. He was probably travelling from Azamgarh, with his father, to Lucknow when the accident happened," a source reportedly said.

Musheer Khan's accident will be a massive setback for the MCA as he will miss out on the Irani Cup match as well as the first round of the Ranji Trophy tournament. The matches in Lucknow will begin from October 1st to 5th, while the Ranji Games will commence on October 11, 2024.
The Mumbai batter was a standout in the Duleep Trophy tournament as the 19-year-old smashed a solid ton for Team India B in his tournament debut. Musheer Khan and his brother, Sarfaraz Khan, stood up for their side and delivered a potent partnership. He came to the limelight during the U129 World Cup, and his performance has continued to impress.
