The CEAT Cricket Rating Awards were held on the 21st of August and saw the felicitation of several cricket stars from all over the world. The event felicitated several high profile cricket stars for their performances in the game over the past years. The major awards were taken by star Indian batter Virat Kohli and Indian captain Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma took home the Cricketer Of The Year award whereas Virat Kohli got the ODI Batter Of The Year Award. Apart from the awards ceremony fans also witnessed a heartwarming moment between Shreyas Iyer and Rohit Sharma, the video of which has gone viral.

It was at this moment that the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders and Indian middle order batter Shreyas Iyer got up and gave his seat to Rohit Sharma. During the award ceremony, Rohit Sharma took home the Cricketer Of The Year award. Apart from him Virat Kohli won the ODI Cricketer Of The Year. Shreyas Iyer ended up winning the T20 Leadership Award as he led IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders to an IPL trophy this year.
