IND vs ZIM T20I: Shubman Gill-led Team India have safeguarded India's title of World Champions. The India vs Zimbabwe T20I series was played soon after the culmination of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup with India becoming the World T20 Champions. India had to sustain a shocking defeat in the first T20I, but they registered a stellar comeback and won four consecutive matches to clinch the series. All the matches were played at the Harare Sports Complex, Harare.

Shubman Gill: A Leader In The Making

This is a no-brainer that India are a stronger team as compared to Zimbabwe. The Indian young guns who were touring Zimbabwe had an ample amount of experience of playing in the IPL and hence were not short of match practice and game awareness. Even after all the experience they had, Sikandar Raza's Zimbabwe ended up defeating them in the first match of the series. Shubman Gill the skipper of the side was transparent enough and said that his side should have dealt with the pressure in a better manner.

But India registered a stylish comeback with Shubman Gill as the skipper of the side. Gill as the captain was perfectly spot on with his plans, field placements and read the conditions better. After India's clinical series win, Gill has now opened up on how captaincy brings out the best in him. The Indian team management might be looking for a skipper in the shortest format and Gill has now thrown in his name as one of the man contenders.

There was pressure, I wouldn't say extra pressure but obviously even when you are playing just as a batsman when you don't perform there is a certain kind of pressure that comes along with it," he said. "But I think that's the fun part of it. You kind of feel so many different emotions. Pressure is one of them. And when you get out of that, the satisfaction that you feel is immense.
