Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar suffer nasty collision during IND-W vs AUS-W 2nd ODI- Watch

During the 2nd ODI between India-W and Australia-W, Pooja Vastrakar and Sneh Rana suffered a horrible collision. Read on to know what transpired.

Owing to a major miscommunication during the IND-W vs AUS-W 2nd ODI, Team India's Pooja Vastrakar and Sneh Rana suffered a nasty collision. Both players went to field the same ball and the absence of a required call led to the incident. The impact of the hit was quite intense, so-much-so that immediate medical attention was required by the players.

Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar's horrible collision

In the 25th over of the Australia innings, debutant Shreyanka Patil bowled a flat outside-off delivery to the striker Beth Mooney. Mooney played a cut shot, and bang Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar got in each other's way. They were able to save the single though.

It turned out to be a painful collision as instantly medics were on the field. Rana was seen lying on the field, and subsequently she took off the field.

 To the relief of Team India, no lasting damage occurred and soon Sneh Rana made her way back.

Australia eyeing par score

As for the match, AUS-W won the toss and elected to bat first. The openers Phoebe Litchfield and Alyssa Healy gave the Aussies a neat start. The opening stand went on till 40 runs and following that Healy was bowled out by Vastrakar. Buoyed by the match-winning partnership in the 1st ODI, Litchfield and Elyse Perry again started to put runs on the board. The two were playing risk-free cricket and were taking the side to a comfortable position. However, Deepti Sharma got the breakthrough in the 24th over. She dismissed Perry at 50. New batter, Beth Mooney, could not hold for long and could only contribute 10 on the board. Well set Litchfield also perished soon after. She got out after a gritty knock of 63. According to the latest update, Australia are 200/6 after 43 overs.
