The US audience was recently treated to the thrill of cricket after the group stage of the ICC men's T20 World Cup 2024 took place in various regions of the States. For a place which has been ardently devoted to sports, the introduction of cricket drew a lot of attention when the games were hosted in New Jersey, Dallas, Texas and Florida. Recently, the game of cricket and baseball had a crossover when India's T20I skipper, Suryakumar Yadav, visited the MLB's legendary franchise, the New York Yankees' stadium.

Team India T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav stopped by the iconic Yankee Stadium, home of the MLB franchise, the New York Yankees, during his visit to the United States. Bringing in the T20 World Championship-winning cricketer was a strategic move to make the presence of cricket felt after the T20 World Cup. SKY visited the iconic arena, and its pitch, and a video of the India star's visit has been posted on the social media platform 'X', formerly Twitter.
Suryakumar Yadav was honoured with a customized Yankees jersey which had his name and jersey number 63 embellished on it. He also met the New York Yankees' players in the locker room and had his special jersey signed by the renowned baseball outfielder Aaron Judge. SKY was left in awe after he saw the historic MLB Stadium.

Suryakumar was a part of Team India when they visited the US in June to take part in the group-stage matches for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The Men in Blue went up against Ireland, USA and Pakistan at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York and defeated all of them. The match against Canada in Florida ended up being a washout.

Suryakumar Yadav is coming off a successful run in his debut as the T20I skipper for the Men in Blue. Under him, Team India pulled off a clean sweep against Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series at the Pallekele Stadium.
