Michael Vaughan is not optimistic about the Test series in India
Former England captain, Michael Vaughan, has cautioned England against a disastrous outcome in their Test series against India the next year, emphasizing the formidable spin-bowling attack of that country. Vaughan stated that while he anticipates England to stick with their aggressive strategy, dubbed "Bazball," it may crumble in the face of the spin combination of R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel.
During the 2021 tour, England won the first Test in Chennai, but they blew the lead in the following matches, eventually losing the series 3-1. However, as for the most recent clash, England could gather the positive of it as they successfully chased down the score of 378 without any hassle by 7 wickets. But that was at Edgbaston, where spin did not become a major factor.

"Ultimately, the hardest place to play in the world is India and if you actually go back to the Ashes when Nathan Lyon was fit and bowling nicely, Australia were 2-0 up in the series," Michael Vaughan told Fox Cricket.
"Now that's just one spinner, if you look at that five-for he got at Edgbaston and the field was spread and England got out to him by playing ridiculous shots at times.

Spin trio would be lethal weapon against England
Vaughan highlighted the spin prowess of India and said that the trio of Ashwin, Jadeja, and Axar could dismantle England.
"If you add in Ashwin, Jadeja and Axar Patel on spinning wickets in India, they may get blown away, they may get absolutely destroyed. They will go out and play exactly the same way, we've already spoken about the impact they are going to try and achieve in India with the way they play.
"It will be great watching, but you will have to fancy three quality spinners might do a job on England when one quality spinner in Nathan Lyon did the job in English conditions. It's going to be very tough for them to win in India," he added.
