The year 2023 will always be remembered in cricket because India's team was really strong in the ICC Cricket World Cup. They won ten games in a row, led by captain Rohit Sharma. Everyone thought they would finally end their ten-year wait for an ICC trophy. But, in a surprising turn, they lost in the final against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Virat Kohli, the star batsman, played a big part in India's journey. He scored an amazing 765 runs with an average of 95.62. He made three centuries and six fifties and was named the best player of the tournament. Kohli's best moment was in the semi-final against New Zealand. He not only helped India win but also scored his 50th ODI hundred, beating the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.
