ICC Champions Trophy 2025: It was a night in Dubai that would go down in the rich Indian cricketing folklore as one of the most memorable. Rohit Sharma led the Indian team to back to back ICC titles on Sunday. India beat New Zealand by four wickets to clinch CT 2025. But it was former India captain Virat Kohli who stole the limelight during the trophy ceremony.

During the trophy ceremony and while the team was lining up for a team picture, Kohli took the bottle of champagne and sprayed it on young Rishabh Pant, who was caught absolutely unawares. And while Kohli was poking fun at Pant, Harshit Rana also joins in. 

The clip of this has surfaced on social space and is going viral.

India Achieve Elusive Record In CT

With the four-wicket triumph, the Men in Blue went past Australia to achieve an elusive feat in the history of the Champions Trophy. Team India won the most number of Champion Trophy titles, clinching it three times. Prior to 2025's victory, the Men in Blue won it in the 2013 and 2002 editions. On the other hand, the Aussies sealed the Champions Trophy titles two times, in 2006 and 2009.

Apart from the two cricket giants, New Zealand (2000), South Africa (1998), West Indies (2004), and Pakistan (2017) won the Champions Trophy title just once.

The Men in Blue started their 2025 Champions Trophy campaign with a six-wicket victory over Bangladesh on February 20. Following, Rohit's side faced their arch-rivals Pakistan in the 15-match tournament. In the most-anticipated clash of the tournament by six wickets in Dubai. In their final group stage match, India sealed a 44-run win over the Black Caps. In the semi-final, the Men in Blue sealed a four-wicket win over Australia and confirmed their spot in the final.
