First Breathtaking Images Of Floodlight Lit Wankhede Surface As T20 World Champions Reach Mumbai
The 'Men in Blue' have reached India and have brought the 'City of Dreams' Mumbai to a halt. Celebrations go on as the team participates in the victory parade.

Rohit Sharma and Co. have brought the entire country to a standstill and the reason is India's historic T20 World Cup victory. Team India achieved the earth shattering feat on June 29, 2024 by beating Aiden Markram's Proteas men by 7 runs at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. Since then, the celebrations haven't stopped and it is safe to say that they got only bigger and better with the passing time.
Wankhede Gears Up To Welcome World Champions
The Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid are participating in the victory parade held in Mumbai. The team has scheduled their way from the Mumbai Airport to the Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai right now has turned into a sea of blue and has given the champions a welcome worthy of their glory. Amid all the celebrations, the first visuals of Wankhede Stadium has surfaced which looks all set to host the world champions.

PM Modi Meets Team India
The original plan for Rohit and Co. to reach India was on July 30, 2024, but hurricane beryl halted it for a few days. Four days after winning the coveted T20 trophy, the 'Men in Blue' arrived in the Indian subcontinent and Delhi warmly welcomed them with a rousing reception. The Indian cricket team then left for 7 Lok Kalyan Marg to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The players then had breakfast and grouped up for quick pictures, after which they left for Mumbai.

India's Iconic Victory At Barbados
India created history in the recently concluded ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The 'Men in Blue' made the entire nation proud by winning the coveted T20 silverware by defeating South Africa in the finals. India are now only the third team after England (2010 & 2022) and West Indies (2012 & 2016) to win the T20 World Cup for the second time. Not just India, this victory also marks a special milestone for Rohit Sharma. Rohit is the only cricketer to win the T20 World Cup as a player and as a skipper.
