Australia halted India's dreams of winning the ODI World Cup at home when they faced off each other in Ahmedabad. The Aussies asserted dominance throughout the game and thwarted the Men in Blue's chance to end their WC title drought. Travis Head, in particular, was a destructive force as his numbers helped Australia to clinch their sixth ODI WC title. Former India coach Rahul Dravid opened up on the Aussie batter's innings at the summit clash.

At the CEAT Cricket Awards in Mumbai, Rahul Dravid opened up on the sensational knock by Australian batter Travis Head, saying that the Indian bowlers beat his bat 15 times, but Head did not touch any ball. He also expressed the need for luck in a skill-based sport like cricket.
"I remember whatever it was, we beat Travis Head's bat 15 times — he did not touch a single ball. You know, things can go your way sometimes, but you have to stick to the process. I have had time to reflect on it. I have had time to reflect on a lot of things we have done. You do realise, sometimes, you have to do a lot of these things, you have to do the process, you have to do everything right.

"Sometimes at the end of the day, you need a little bit of luck. Sometimes (it is) the skill, but we needed a guy who could keep his foot within one inch of a line," Rahul Dravid said.

Travis Head smashed 137 off 120 balls to help keep Australia on the front foot against India. Despite Team India's strong effort to bounce back, luck did not favour them as the Australis already turned the tables in their favour. Australia would clinch their sixth ODI title, asserting their dominance in One-Day Internationals and breaking the hearts of millions of Indian fans.
Eventually, India would power through and win the ICC Men's T20 World Cup title after defeating South Africa by seven runs and ending their longstanding title drought.
