Dinesh Karthik is always known to be one of the brightest cricketing minds in the game. Once a great servant of Indian cricketer and now a very successful broadcaster, Karthik's understanding of the game is at par with his contemporaries. The former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) player earned a name for himself as a finisher in the later stages of his career and rose up to every chance that he got. After Rajasthan Royals (RR) knocked Royal Challengers Bengaluru out of IPL 2024, Dinesh Karthik decided to hang up his boots.

Indian cricket fans always bond over picking their favourite XIs. This is one discussion that never ages and always stays relevant. This time around DK aka Dinesh Karthik also tried his hands at picking India's all-time XI on Cricbuzz's YouTube channel. He tried to fit in almost all the Indian stalwarts, but made one massive omission. The former India wicketkeeper-batsman did not pick his fellow gloveman MS Dhoni and hell broke loose.

DK's XI and Dhoni's snub from it left the fans shocked. The former India player later admitted that it was a genuine mistake from his end and added that the thought of adding a wicketkeeper in the team had skipped his mind.

'Bhai log. Bada galti hogayi (Guys I made a big mistake.) Genuinely it was a mistake. I realized only when the episode came out. There were so many things happening that when I put this 11, I forgot the wicketkeeper. Luckily Rahul Dravid was there and everybody thought I was going with a part-time wicketkeeper. But genuinely I didn't think Rahul Dravid as a wicketkeeper. Can you believe being a wicketkeeper, I forgot to have a wicketkeeper? It is a blunder', said Karthik.

Karthik went a step further and said that MSD was an automatic choice in any India XI and expressed his wish to redo the entire XI. DK also added that if he had the chance to make the team again, he would've had MS Dhoni bat on number 7 and as the captain and the wicketkeeper of the side.
