Anil Kumble has mirrored the goal of Limitless India at the Republic Plenary Summit 2025 on March 6. The legendary Indian cricketer has reflected on how sports have changed over the years. Addressing the crowd, the former Indian captain highlighted how women's cricket has changed the course over the last few years

He said, 'It has been 75 years of independence. Just to reflect on sports, we have come a long way. We are consistently in finals. We won the T20 World Cup, we were runners-up in 2023. 1983 was a breakthrough moment. The infrastructure for cricket has become better. The IPL has given a lot of opportunity to the players. It is not just men; women have also become inclusive in cricket. Women's cricket has made India proud.

The former Indian bowler also emphasised why it is important to have icons in sports as India now has Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra who are being followed by millions of people.

"It is all about creating icons, we have Neeraj Chopa, Manu Bhaker, and they also had someone to look up to. Badminton has had superstars, you had Saina Nehwal in women's badminton, now PV Sindhu. You have all these icons, someone to look up to. That is the beauty of sport and the beauty of new India. Most of the CEOs around the world are Indian, that is what limitless India is all about."
